Southwest Mountains Vineyards, nestled in Virginia's picturesque Monticello AVA, was founded by Paul and Diane Manning on the historic Castalia farm property. Since its first planting in 2016, the vineyard has been committed to producing distinctive wines that reflect its unique microclimates and terroir, with a focus on varieties like Petit Verdot and Petit Manseng. The winery has quickly gained recognition for its quality, securing several medals at wine competitions.  The inside space is truly amazing, complete with fireplaces and wonderful leather sofas.  No expense has been spared in this venue.

Barboursville Vineyards, located in Virginia's Piedmont region, was established in 1976 by Gianni Zonin, a winemaker from Veneto, Italy. The vineyard is built on the historical grounds of James Barbour's estate, designed by Thomas Jefferson. Barboursville is renowned for its rich heritage and as a pioneer in Virginian viticulture, often celebrated for its flagship Bordeaux-style blend, Octagon, and a broad selection of both traditional and unique wines.  Make a reservation as this one can get busy.​

Merrie Mill Farm & Vineyard, located in Keswick, Virginia, was founded by Guy and Elizabeth Pelly. The couple was inspired to enter the wine industry after visiting Charlottesville in 2017 and moved their family from the UK to pursue their vision. They purchased the historic Merrie Mill Farm in 2018. The Pellys transformed the property, focusing on viticulture suited to the farm's unique Manteo soil, and built a distinctive 5,000 square foot tasting room that reflects their personal style and commitment to creating a welcoming, community-oriented space​.  The inside feels like you are in a personal art gallery. They are also one of the only to stay open late (9pm on Fridays in the summer)

King Family Vineyards, located in Crozet, Virginia, is renowned for its award-winning wines and scenic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The family-run winery offers a variety of wine tasting experiences, polo matches, and live music events, making it a popular destination for both wine enthusiasts and casual visitors. 

Early Mountain Vineyards, established in Madison, Virginia, was first planted by the Sweely family in 2005 and acquired by Jean and Steve Case in 2010, who expanded it by adding Quaker Run Vineyard. Known for its exceptional wine tastings and culinary experiences, the winery integrates its production with a broad selection of the best wines from other Virginia wineries, emphasizing a "Best of Virginia" theme​.  We love the fire pits in cool weather season and lots of live music events.

Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards, established by Lynn Easton and Dean Andrews in 2011, is renowned for its blend of viticulture and culinary excellence, set against the picturesque backdrop of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains. This boutique vineyard distinguishes itself with its commitment to sustainable agriculture and a "garden-to-table" philosophy, pairing their award-winning wines with locally-sourced, seasonal cuisine.  The setting here is spectacular.

Veritas Vineyard & Winery, situated in Afton, Virginia, offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a diverse selection of award-winning wines. Known for its elegant tasting rooms and welcoming atmosphere, it provides an exceptional wine tasting experience year-round. 

Keswick Vineyards, founded in 2000 by Al and Cindy Schornberg, is a family-run winery known for its small-batch, high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of its Virginia estate. The vineyard quickly established its reputation by winning the title of "Best White Wine in America" for its first vintage in 2002 at the Atlanta International Wine Summit, and it has continued to garner accolades, including two Virginia Governor's Cups
